Founded in 2009, Hot Yoga Milwaukee is proud to offer the hot yoga experience for the Milwaukee and Brookfield area. Locally owned and operated, our downtown Milwaukee and Brookfield locations share teachers, staff, and class types. We pride ourselves on friendly, approachable customer service, and in providing the best hot yoga experience to all students, regardless of level of experience, age, or ability.
Hot Yoga Milwaukee offers several class types: Bikram Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Power Flow, Yin, and Hot Pilates.
Bikram is the original hot yoga method, consisting of the same 26 postures that are performed twice every class in a room heated to around 105 degrees.
Vinyasa Flow classes are taught in a room that is slightly cooler (around 95 degrees), consist of postures that are linked to the breath, with sequences that vary from class to class.
Power Flow is a more intense Vinyasa Flow class which incorporates even more movement and core work while still linking to the breath. Classes are held in the same 95 degree/40% humidity environment as Vinyasa Flow.
Hot Pilates is a fitness method that utilizes exercises that flow with our natural movement pattern. The movement benefits the body by producing long, balanced and strengthened muscles. It is suitable for every body and the method's goal is for complete coordination of the body, mind and spirit. This class adds in the bonus of 95 degree heat and 40% humidity to aid in stretching.
Yin In this class you will hold postures for longer amounts of time, gently stretching connective tissues, making them longer and stronger over time. Yin also increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility. This class will be done on the floor with props such as bolsters and blocks. Hands-on assists, massage, and essential oils will be used (optional of course.) The room will be heated to a comfortable ~80 degrees. Yin is a great class for beginners, advanced practioners, and everyone in between.
There are 90, 75, and 60 minute "express" classes offered every day of the week.
We have put a lot of time, energy and resources into making the most state of the art, energy efficient facility. Utilizing the same heat pump technology used for geothermal technology, high efficiency boilers, and Energy Recovery Ventilators, we use about a third the amount of natural gas than we would using a traditional heating system. We have spacious changing rooms, multiple showers (4 for the women, 3 for the men).
